Jim Rider has been a key figure in London’s Electronic Music scene throughout the years as a DJ, producer and promoter but is now a truly global artist in his own right. After an extended break from the studio, Jim revived his artistic drive in incredible fashion. With releases on Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream, TRYBESof and Tale & Tone labels, Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden as well as work with Kindisch, Akbal Music, When We Dip XYZ, House Music With Love and the launch of his own label "Signs", Rider has the attention of the dance community’s most influential tastemakers.
His 5-track “Popcorn & Politics” EP on TRYBESof was a #1 Beatport category release and Jim has hit the Organic House top 5 tracks on numerous occasions with records such as his tough yet melodic collab with Namibian vocalist Black Soda “Final Straw” on All Day I Dream and the eastern flavoured “In Theory” on Akbal Music. His music is regularly supported by the world’s biggest DJ’s including Lee Burridge, Nick Warren, Guy Gerber, Hernan Cattaneo, Blond:Ish, Sébastien Léger, Eelke Kleijn, Behrouz, Tim Green and many more.
2022 has been an incredible year for Jim, we saw his debut on All Day I Dream “The Final Straw EP” receive critical acclaim with all four tracks (Final Straw, Los Que Caen, The Cypriot & Rascals) smashing the Beatport charts. This year also saw his collab EP and a return to Tale & Tone with Eduardo McGregor hit #4 and he made his debut on Nick Warren’s “The Soundgarden.
2022 has been a monumental year where touring is concerned. The first half of the year saw Jim play across Mexico (Tulum, Playa Del Carmen, Juarez, Campeche & Merida) as well as debut North American shows including the All Day I Dream Festival in California plus club shows in Miami, San Diego, Chicago, New York City, Washington DC and Montreal.
He then returned to Europe (via a gig for All Day I Dream in Dubai) to play at Akasha, Ibiza before returning to London for some studio time to prepare him for a game changing summer ahead…
In June, All Day I Dream announced their first full Ibiza residency every Thursday at the island’s beautiful Cova Santa where Jim was confirmed as weekly resident DJ (From June to October). He’ll also play summer shows in Paris and London before returning to the USA in August between Ibiza shows.
